There are reports of the Egyptian Army attacking at least two Coptic Monasteries. About three years ago I visisted one of them as one of a large number of ecumenical pilgrims. I have visited Egypt twice, and both times became aware of the unjust treatment of Christians (especially in Cairo). There is a great danger in any country when things begin to fall apart that people will begin looking for scapegoats or those that could be classed as undesirable.
