Egytian Army attack Coptic Monasteries. Is the Army out of Control?
There are reports of the Egyptian Army attacking at least two Coptic Monasteries. About three years ago I visisted one of them as one of a large number of ecumenical pilgrims. I have visited Egypt twice, and both times became aware of the unjust treatment of Christians (especially in Cairo). There is a great danger in any country when things begin to fall apart that people will begin looking for scapegoats or those that could be classed as undesirable. The most vulnerable people in Egypt right now are the Christians, and especially the Copts. See one report, including a frightening video here
