I only found out this morning (through "Orthodox News", kindly sent by a friend) that the iconographer Leon Liddament died last September. The little Russian Orthodox church of St. Seraphim is visited by many pilgrims to Walsingham throughout the year and the adjacent studio is filled with treasures, most of them beyond the range of the average pocket. here. Above is the lantern he painted in the larger Orthodox Church in Walsingham. He was a truly gifted artist and a devout Christian. I am sure he will be greatly missed in Walsingham and the surrounding area.
