Some years ago I met a man who had been present at the liberation of Belsen. He said two things which I think are worthy of record. The first was that he could not believe that the German people had been unaware of what was being done in the Holocaust. The second, somewhat more chilling, was, "And it could have happened here." The casual manner in which the Minister refers to abortion seems to me to prove that we live in a country no less barbaric than Nazi Germany.
