The Feast of St. Anthony of Padua

St. Anthony of Padua is a great saint. He deserves more than simply being regarded as the saint of lost things. He was a great Scripture scholar and theologian, and an extraordinary preacher. His tongue and vocal chords remain incorrupt! (at the shrine in Padua). He was a priest at a time when there were few priests in the Franciscan order (having come from the Canons of St. Augustine in Portugal). St. Anthony of Padua, pray for priests...pray for preachers of the Word....pray for the Church.
