Christos Anesti! Alithos Anesti! - He is risen indeed, Alleluia! A happy and blessed Easter to all, and especially to my Orthodox brothers and sisters. This year we have celebrated the Resurrection of the Lord on the same day. This is a great blessing.
Yesterday in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem the yearly miracle of the Holy Fire took place. This is not known to many non-Orthodox Christians. It is a genuine miracle. The Patriarch is searched before he goes into the chapel of the Tomb. There is nothing in the Tomb with which he can light a candle or a small fire. Any further doubts are put to rest by those in the main part of the church, outside the chapel of the Tomb, whose candles and torches burst into flame spontaneously.
